The house is on two floors, built of warm Sienese stone and brick, encircled by wide terracotta terraces, ancient mulberry trees and huge old cypresses, olive groves, lawns and gardens of aromatic shrubs and fragrant herbs, the cook's delight .
It is entirely furnished with antique country furniture, art and textile hangings from various parts of the world, turkish rugs, comfortable sofas, quality bedding, efficient plumbing and lighting, and is generally light, airy and stylish. The massive old ceiling beams are of the local poplar wood, which is of a pleasing, rich honey colour. Original materials have been used throughout for the restoration, which features wood finishings recovered from such beams, old brick arches, terracotta flooring and beautifully veined antique doors. All the rooms have got beautiful views, and all modern comforts are provided.

The Kitchen |

Delicious meals can be prepared by local cooks at the house, in the fully equipped country dining room kitchen , with characteristic brick vaulted ceiling and open fireplace, sofas and TV , room for 10 people to dine comfortably. It is entered by a shady loggia, and nearby is the pergola covered by jasmine and roses for eating out at a travertine marble table, with barbeque.
On the ground floor there's also a study with telephone and fax, a twin/ double bedroom, a shower- bathroom and a "utility" area with washing machine and iron. The back door leads to a terrace with the old well and bread oven, and a path through the gardens brings you to the swimming pool (the water is ozone treated), surrounded by terracotta sun terraces, immersed in luxuriant aromatic herbs, decorative shrubs, roses and lavender, and overlooked by the silvery olive groves.
